#AfricaArise17 Day 1 - Evening Session

"A Conversation on the Mountain"

The theme for this year's Africa Arise conference is Bridging the Gap. To think generationally is to think like God.

On the Mount of transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus. Why these two? Joshua, the successor of Moses, actually finished what Moses could not; Elisha, the successor of Elijah operated in a double portion anointing from that of Elijah.

Moses and Elijah stand out because both of them successfully passed on their ministry mantles into the next generation. Joshua did not. Elisha did not.

All fruit has seed in it. Fruit is for now. Seed is for tomorrow. The real strength of the fruit, then, is in the seed. It is the seed of the woman that crushes the head of the enemy.

Bridging the Gap is all about healing the riff between generations. If your heart is generational God will always put you in the center of what he is doing.

When Jesus came to the Jordan to be baptized, it was John, representing the last of the Old Testament prophets, and Jesus representing the New Testament, the heavens were torn open. Bridging the Gap is important, then, because it has the power to open the heavens.
